# How to calculate the number of receiving cards and sending cards of LED display

Based on the receiving card design and the maximum carrying capacity, the number of receiving cards for various LED screen lengths and widths is different.

A P10 LED display, the required length of 20 meters, the height of 10 meters. Calculate how many modules used: P10 display unit board size is: 32cm * 16cm; length using module number: 2000cm/32cm = 62.5; width using module 1000cm/16cm = 62.5. Its calculation of the length and width of the resolution: P10 indoor unit board pixels are: 32 * 16; the actual resolution of the display is: long: 32 × 63 = 2016 width: 16 × 63 = 1008.

This time calculate the number of receiving cards. Long: 2016 ÷ 256 = 7.875, approximately equal to 8; width: 1008 ÷ 128 = 7.875, approximately equal to 8; 8 × 8 + 1 = 65 receiving cards (an extra receiving card, just in case).

LED display to calculate the number of sending card: 2016 ÷ 1280 = 1.575, approximately equal to 2; 1008 ÷ 1024 = 0.98 approximately equal to 1; 1 × 2 = 2 sending cards.

For outdoor LED displays, we can calculate according to the number of cabinets, a cabinet a card or two cabinets a card.

Outdoor LED display to calculate the number of receiving cards. Number of cabinets: 21 × 13 +1 = 274; 273 receiving cards; 273 ÷ 2 + 1 = 138 receiving cards; all of the above need to have an extra receiving card.

Calculate the resolution: take the whole number, length of 21 cabinets, the width of 13 cabinets. The actual resolution of the display is: length: 21 × 960 = 2016dots; width: 13 × 960 = 1248dots.

Note: In general, the receiving card, indoor based on the display resolution to calculate, outdoor based on the number of cabinets to calculate. For the sending card, indoor and outdoor are based on the resolution of the screen to calculate.
